Why Choose Hospice?
Hospice care can be delivered in the
comfort and familiarity of the patient’s own
home, in their nursing home or assisted
living facility, or in a hospice facility like Our
House. Priority is given to reduce pain and
suffering to make patients as comfortable as
possible as they near the end of their life.
What You Can Expect?
Usually, a doctor will make a
recommendation for the patient to start
receiving hospice services. After that
referral, the hospice team will meet with the
patient and their loved ones to discuss and
develop a customized hospice care plan for
the patient and answer questions.

Recent Announcements
Despite Common Misconceptions,
hospice care is not exclusively focused on
the dying process; instead, it aims to
empower terminally ill patients to live their
final days with purpose and dignity. The
National Hospice and Palliative Care
Organization (NHPCO) considers hospice
care the benchmark for delivering high-
quality, compassionate care to individuals
facing life-limiting illnesses. By providing
personalized medical care, pain
management, emotional support, and
spiritual guidance, hospice care strives to
enhance the patient's quality of life, while
offering support to family members and
caregivers, ensuring the patient's final days
are as comfortable as possible.
